Ahhh, it’s a good Sunday!

Woke up today with less aches and pains down my spine, and didn’t feel much of it either throughout the day. I suspect that it’ll be back once tomorrow begins… *sigh*

Anyway, I finally took the time to try out the Bialetti Moka Express stove top espresso / coffee maker from LB. It looked rather complicated at first, having to fill the bottom with cold (in this case, room temperature) water, place the funnel on top, add ground coffee, screw on the top pot, and put it on the burner to boil. After making the first round, however, I was so amused by it I actually made a second round of espresso! Hmmm… I’m still quite awake now, and it’s close to midnight. I wonder if 3 cups were one too many? Oops, too late now!

Later in the morning, Angel picked me up and we headed to the salon to get our hair done. I needed a trim and treatment, and she went for a round of re-bonding. We sat there for close to 4 hours while I had my hair pampered and hers ironed straight. I won’t put pictures of the process here, since they didn’t turn out too well. I would’ve indulged in including a small thumbnail of my fatt hao self, but I didn’t want to risk being called vain (which I already am, no need to rub it in)… ha-ha!!

We adjourned to Paddington House of Pancakes post-pampering, famished after having been at the salon for so long. There were just too many choices to select from their menu, we went rather ga-ga over the choices! I finally settled for a savoury Blintz with corned beef and hash, while Angel went for the Brussels Gallette. If you’ve been there before, you’d know that the pancakes tasted out of this world! I wanted to have one of their dessert pancakes too, but was just too stuffed after the main course.

I brought my Mackie along, so where else would be the best place to surf the Net but at Starbucks? LOL!! Seems like I’ve been Buck-ing quite often now with bloggers, eh? This time it was Angel’s turn to caress my baby! Logged on and checked out a few blogs, briefly chatted and gossiped (but of course… *wink!*) till about 5:30 p.m. when we decided to head on home.

A wonderful day full of pampering and indulgence. I should have Sundays like these more often!

    I prefer sweet to savoury pancakes.

    looks like someone’s gonna stay up late tonight cos of the espresso! (i’m not a coffee fan myself but i love the smell of starbucks :))

    Oh dearie me… Haven’t had real pancakes since devouring them at Pancake Parlour in Melbourne… and that was back in ‘92!!! Those pancakes look mighty fine… and the website menu looks utterly divine…

    moopig - 1 HUG TOKEN!! wakakakaka! lurking in the shadows for a chup, yea? I like sweet pancakes too, but these are worth a try at least once. couldn’t quite have a big helping of sweetness for lunch. I was still quite wide awake an hour plus after that, but thank goodness my brain had the decency to shut down before it got worse… LOL!

    angel - awwwww, three free H U G H U G H U G for you!! I wanted to post earlier, but new at Photoshop-ing mah, so took a little longer than I thought. time passes by faster when you have company and someone to share it with, hor? my mom didn’t comment on mine either, haha! as if got no difference pulak. nevermind, as long as you feel great, yes? :)

    Chen - ya wor, it was the alert kind of awake, not awake but tired kind of awake. but can sleep wan, I’m sure. I just need to cut down on that next time, stick to a max of 2 cups instead of going for a 3rd, LOL!! Sundays are great, but when Monday’s are just around the corner… *sigh*…

    Poison - LOL @ corkage for Starbucks! wakakakakaka! that’s a brilliant suggestion, they just might make money out of that too, doncha think? just need to charge minimum fee for using facilities, which is what most people do there anyway! we weren’t at the Curve’s Starbucks, though. we were at Hartamas Shopping Centre where the salon is. still free wi-fi, that’s all that matters! *watches as the chunk of butter melts on hot pancakes… drools*

    carcar - chup chup chup!! you chupping for kopi too? waaa, I can open my own cafe soon, just need to get more coffee makers, otherwise you all wait until fall asleep also no kopi yet, wakakaka! I loved our haagen-dazs meet to, sweet sweet stuff! *counts down the days till carcar’s return*
